History: Family Service-Upper Ohio Valley was incorporated in 1909, as
Associated Charities of Wheeling. Over the years, names included Family
Service Association of Wheeling in 1934 and The Children and Family Service
Association in 1943. Programs developed to meet the needs of the community
include three major divisions: Clinical Counseling, Consumer Credit
Counseling/ Conservator and Senior Services.
Mission: To provide human services designed to enable families and individuals of all ages to deal successfully with the continuing changes and challenges that occur throughout the family life cycle. |
